“I’m glad we met with the commandant. I think it helped. I don’t know about being feisty but I’ll do what I have to…and honestly I feel better. I just kept thinking about all the stuff I couldn’t change. Spent so much time pitying myself wondering I couldn’t be strong like Mikasa and Levi. I was jealous, but even though you guys are strong, you can’t do all that much alone. None of us can. That’s why we have to find our own rules. When we join together, that’s when we become truly powerful. Everyone’s got their own strengths, and it’s because of times like this.”
– Eren Jaeger, Attack on Titan (Ep. 49)
This week’s Toonami Trending Rundown is a double-feature for the nights of November 3-4 and November 10-11, 2018, as we reach the halfway point of Attack on Titan season 3 as the scouts begin their operation to retake Wall Maria. Meanwhile, Goku attempts to recruit Android 17 to their Tournament of Power team, while Mob finds ways to get his crush Tsubomi attracted to him, and the Black Bulls have a tough time fending off Vetto, among other moments.
On tumblr, Toonami would trend on both weeks, as with #AttackOnTitan on November 3 and #BNHA on November 10. No trends were spotted, although we did spot some tweet counts which you can see below.
Last week, Toonami showcased a new AMV titled “Warriors”. You can check it out below.
In Dragon Ball Super news, Funimation, Toei, and IGN on Thursday have released a 3rd trailer for the upcoming Broly film this January, featuring Vegeta going Super Saiyan God/Red. Sean Schemmel, the voice of Goku, had begun recording for the film on November 6 and has called what he has seen so far “a visual Tour de Force hands down. It will be mind blowing!”
And to promote the film and to showcase anime’s resurgence in the 2010’s, in an industry first, Funimation and Toei will be flying a balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on November 22.

With all 12 episodes so far of Attack on Titan season 3 now aired, as we mentioned a few weeks ago, the show is presently now in an hiatus, scheduled to continue in Japanese airwaves in April 2019. Dub-wise, both Toonami and Funimation have yet to reveal their plans for airing the second half as of this time, though if the same pattern is followed as with previous seasons, we should see AOT return to Toonami with new episodes a few weeks after the Japanese premiere.
In the meantime, Toonami will be doing something different for the Thanksgiving marathon this year, as it will take place next week on November 17, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, rather than the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Toonami will be showcasing all 12 episodes of this season’s Attack on Titan so far for those who want to rewatch the series or need to catch up, in addition to the regular scheduled episodes of DBZ Kai and Samurai Jack to fill up the schedule. And for those who are good on that front, we recommend catching up on other Toonami shows if you need to via DVR, streaming, and on-demand services.
See you again next time and of course, Rest in Peace, Stan Lee. Thanks for the memories.
Legend: The shows listed are ordered based on their appearance on the schedule. Show trends are listed in bold. The number next to the listed trend represents the highest it trended on the list (not counting the promoted trend), judging only by the images placed in the rundown. For the Twitter tweet counts, the listed number of tweets are also sorely based on the highest number shown based on the images on the rundown.
