This Toonami Trending Rundown is a double-feature for the weeks of July 14-15, 2018 and July 21-22, 2018. As the comic and pop culture community converges onto San Diego for Comic-Con, it would also be a big night for Toonami as Tomura Shigaraki leads a villain assault against UA Academy, while Asta and Gauche have to stop a mass kidnapping of a village of children (that includes Marie) and Sasuke battles against Danzo to avenge his family, among other great moments.
It would be a tough few weeks of trending for various reasons, as during both weeks, only #Toonami as well as some form of a My Hero Academia-related hashtag would trend on tumblr.
Of course, the main reason why the trending rundown for the past few weeks have been late is because I myself was at San Diego Comic-Con to bring you some of the news from that weekend. The big news that relates to Toonami from the past few weeks are that both Attack on Titan season 3 and Boruto will be joining the better cartoon show starting on August 18 along with JoJo’s Part 4 and September 29 respectively. In addition, FUNimation and Toei have unveiled the trailer for the next Dragon Ball film, Dragon Ball Super Broly.
