During the Boruto New Years’ marathon in the December 29th edition of Toonami, Toonami unveiled a teaser trailer for the newest Total Immersion Event, revealed to be titled “The Forge” and set for a release date in Fall 2019.
Toonami head Jason DeMarco noted that while the teaser is in 2D, the Total Immersion Event will be full CGI as with previous events. He also did mention that “this will be their biggest, scariest adventure yet.” Previously from 2015-2017, Toonami had made a TIE event every year (Intruder 2, Intruder 3, and Countdown), but this time around, the block opted to forgo one in 2018 to focus more efforts on this upcoming event.
