The Toonami Trending Rundown for October 11-12, 2014. An interesting night for the trends tonight as on one end, only Samurai Jack made the Twitter trending lists and Attack on Titan trended on Tumblr. On the other hand, every premiere show with the exception of Attack on Titan and Naruto produced a character or in-show content trend.
For Bleach, it was Renji as he successfully defeats Jackie, though was rather resistant to due to his policy towards fighting woman. For One Piece, Franky trended as he makes a (for lack of a better term) fart bomb so he and Robin can try and escape, as well as Sniper King, as he leads the Giants for backup and catches up with the crew…while being thrown in the process. For Gurren Lagann, Yoko and Kamina both trended as Yoko confesses her love to Kamina (at Simon’s expense) as well as Kamina successfully leading the crew to capturing Dai-Gunzan, but at the cost of his own life. And for Hellsing Ultimate, Rip Van Wrinkle trended as she successfully highjacks a military cruiser for the Millennium Nazis as well as Alucard as he pretty much kills her and her comrades. In addition for Gurren Lagann, the reaction to Kamina’s sacrifice also had “RIP Kamina” trending worldwide.
Tune in next week as both Bleach and Attack on Titan come down to their final three episodes, among other great moments from the other shows.
