Toonami on Friday dropped a huge surprise, announcing a new Toonami block called Toonami Rewind. This new Toonami block will show classic shows every Friday from 5pm – 7pm Eastern Time starting Friday, May 31. You can see the post from the Facebook page below:
The schedule includes the Viz dub of Sailor Moon, 2 episodes of DBZ Kai and Naruto. It is also worth noting that this new block is on top of the normal block that will still play every Saturday night. The promo is below:
Some other information about the block: Per Jason Demarco, Co-Creator of Toonami, the block will include classic Toonami tracks and graphics that have been used previously and recreated in HD. Also, TOM and SARA along with the absolution will still be the same as the normal Toonami on Saturday nights.
