On Sept. 23, Aniplex released a promotional trailer for the second half of Sword Art Online’s Project Alicization story arc, titled War of Underworld. Today on Oct. 7 (which is coincidentally Kirito’s birthday), Aniplex released an English translated version of that trailer, which you can see below.
As previously mentioned, the trailer also reveals the third opening theme song for the third season, “Resolution” by Asuna’s voice actress Haruka Tomatsu.
The mid-season premiere of Sword Art Online will premiere in Japanese shores on Oct. 12 and will be simulcasting on Crunchyroll, FunimationNow, and Hulu stateside. While it is expected that Toonami will air the second half of Project Alicization when the dub is ready, neither Toonami nor Aniplex have revealed their plans regarding the dub premiere as of this time. For previous reference, the first part of Project Alicization premiered dubbed on Feb. 9, 2019, four months after the Japanese.
