Following the season finale of Demon Slayer on Toonami, Aniplex USA has released a new teaser trailer for the series’ upcoming film: Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train. The trailer is narrated by Kyojuro Rengoku’s English voice actor Mark Whitten.
The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on Oct. 16, 2020. A premiere date for North America has yet to be announced.
The film plans on covering the Mugen Train arc, serving as a sequel to the anime’s first season. This storyline spans chapters 54-69 of the original manga. The film will be produced by Aniplex in conjunction with Toho, and the original Japanese cast is set to reprise their roles.
There are currently no announced plans for Toonami to air the film, but we will keep you informed on any future developments.
