Toei Animation has just revealed that Broly, the infamous antagonist seen in the Broly Triple Threat trilogy in the DBZ films, will be making a return, as the upcoming 20th Dragon Ball film will indeed be titled “Dragon Ball Super: Broly.”

Akira Toriyama also released a statement regarding the new movie, saying that he plans to reboot the character as he becomes “canonized”, as this is the Broly story that he wanted to tell.

The film will be premiering in Japanese theaters on December 14, 2018. It has not been announced when Toei and FUNimation will be producing a dub or bringing this to theaters stateside as of this time.
