Just to let you know, we here at ToonamiFaithful.com do not endorse people hitting girls or dogs…well, unless they started it first, in which case that can be understandable. But really, please don’t get involved into any such fighting in general if you can.
Anyways, here’s the Toonami Trending Rundown for October 12-13, 2013. We kick off One Piece’s Water 7 arc, with every show trending US and every show except Star Wars TCW and FMA Brotherhood reaching the worldwide trending list. Unfortunately thanks to the buzz of the Japan Grand Prix preventing Star Wars and FMA from trending worldwide, that means the perfect worldwide streak that has been on since August 31 has come to an end, but fortunately we still have some wins in other areas to make up for it. We got some character trends with Kiba (as he got farted on and defeated by Naruto), Hinata (as she offered healing medicine to Naruto), and Black Star (as he got into a fight with Maka). The start of the Water 7 arc also caused a bit of buzz enough for “Water 7” to trend worldwide, and the promo for the IGPX finale also got IGPX to trend worldwide during Bleach as well as during it’s normal run.
Speaking of story arcs, I forgot to mention that last week, Bleach kicked off the Gotei 13 Invasion Army Arc. And yes, this one’s a filler arc.
In Sword Art Online news, if you haven’t heard, there will be an extra edition coming out at the end of the year with serves as an epilogue of sorts for the show. I won’t talk much about it to avoid spoilers (though you can read about it here), but I will say that it will include an anime beach episode. No plans for Aniplex to release it in US shores at the moment, though.
In Clone Wars news, the 6th and final season is planned to be released sometime in early 2014. No news on where it’s gonna air, though.
Tune in next week, as IGPX will have a doubleheader from 2:30-3:30am Eastern for it’s series finale, to go along with the series finales of both Cowboy Bebop and Big O. Brace Yourselves. And just to let you know, Star Wars will be taking the night off to make way, so be warned about that. Also, Aniplex is doing a “Watch and Win” contest during the next two weeks of Sword Art Online.
