The Toonami Trending Rundown for November 8-9, 2014. The Super Saiyans return to their rightful home as DBZ Kai makes it’s long awaited debut on Toonami. As a result, DBZ Kai as well as Space Dandy and Samurai Jack managed to trend in the US. In addition, Toonami also showcased a promo for InuYasha: The Final Act and that also trended in the US.
We also got some special character trends from DBZ Kai (Piccolo, as he confronts Raditz but is stunned by his strength), One Piece (Sniper King, as he burns the World Government flag as a declaration of war to save Robin), Gurren Lagann (Yoko, as she saves Nia from the clutches of Adiane and gives her a haircut as well), and Hellsing Ultimate (Alucard, as he unleashes his full power and duels with Anderson).
If you haven’t heard the news, we now know the schedule for movie month. The big one is that after some technicalities, Toonami will indeed be airing the finale of Hellsing Ultimate. So on December 6th we’ll see Hellsing Episode 09 and Summer Wars, December 13th will showcase the Hellsing Episode 10 and FMA: The Sacred Star of Milos, December 20th will showcase DBZ: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan and Akira, and December 27th will end the year with the first 2 Evangelion movies.
In the meantime, tune in next week as InuYasha makes it’s grand return to the block with the long awaited showcase of the Final Act at 2am Eastern. Bleach in addition will also begin reruns at 2:30am.
