Toonami announced on their Facebook page what the lineup would look like for July’s first couple of weeks. And while it doesn’t come as a huge shocker, we now have confirmation on when an Adult Swim original will encore on the block. My Adventures With Superman will join Toonami on July 8, leading things off when Unicorn: Warriors Eternal ends. And so far, we still do not know what the big series Toonami still can’t mention yet making things a bit tumultuous among fans.
Earlier in the week, Adult Swim tweeted out the premiere date for their new original My Adventures With Superman, and much like Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, fans will get to see two new episodes for the debut. Many then turned to Toonami, wondering if and when it would be announced on its lineup after it was announced in a press release that it would follow what Unicorn: Warriors Eternal did. Thankfully, Toonami followed up and informed viewers what to expect for the first couple of weeks of July.
So to start the summer month for the Fourth of July weekend, the block will marathon the last few episodes of Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, extending the Toonami to finish at 3:15 a.m. due to the more extended episode in this latest batch. And as we bid farewell to the series, My Adventures With Superman takes the mantle and will take over the first hour of Toonami on July 8. The lineup for July 8 will look like this:
- 12 a.m.: My Adventures with Superman
- 12:30 a.m.: My Adventures with Superman
- 1 a.m.: Dr. Stone
- 1:30 a.m.: One Piece
- 2 a.m.: Naruto Shippuden
- 2:30 a.m.: My Hero Academia
What’s interesting is that Food Wars’ final season will have wrapped up by the time we reach the encore of My Adventures With Superman, and a timeslot will open up after July 8. Could we see a new series join the lineup? Or maybe Toonami will be able to talk about the series they’ve been wanting to for so long? Only time will tell, but it adds a time limit, at least for now, when we see a vacancy. When we find out, we will inform all our fans and readers when it breaks.
