New Apparel From Star Wars, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead and Star Trek

New York, NY – October 3, 2013 – Actress and entrepreneur, Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Araca Group, one of the most innovative theatrical production and brand management companies in the world are partnering again with ReedPOP to bring their fangirl fashion apparel company, Her Universe™, to New York Comic Con, October 10th through the 13th at the Javits Center in NYC. Several new Her Universe designs and exclusive pieces will be available at NYCC for the first time.

“We’re excited to bring Her Universe to New York Comic Con in partnership with ReedPOP,” said Eckstein. “Together we are looking forward to recognizing the fangirls in attendance with a special Her Universe boutique in the ReedPOP Supply Co. Official Store at New York Comic Con. I’ll personally be there off and on throughout the convention to meet fans and provide styling tips!”

Michael Rego, Chief Executive Officer of the Araca Group, added, “We are thrilled to bring the Her Universe line of merchandise to New York City, as well as the debut of a Her Universe designed exclusive for The Walking Dead – ‘My Sunday Night Belongs To Daryl’- if you wear it, you will ‘kill it’ at your season premiere viewing parties.”

Her Universe will be bringing a selection of designs including dresses, fashion tops, tunics, hoodies and bags. Highlights include a new exclusive design for The Walking Dead fangirls. Just in time for Season 4 of AMC’s hit show, ladies can proudly show that “My Sunday Night Belongs To Daryl” with this exciting new top which can only be purchased through the ReedPOP Supply Co. Official Store at NYCC and at ReedPOPSupplyCo.com. Her Universe is also offering a new fashion top celebrating the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who featuring original art by celebrated artist Jeff Carlisle. This new design will debut at New York Comic Con and will be sold exclusively online at ReedPOPSupplyCo.com and BBCAmericaShop.com.

“Being a life-long Doctor Who fan, I have wanted to draw Matt Smith’s Doctor for a while now and a 50th anniversary design felt like the perfect opportunity,” said Carlisle. “Originally, the piece was going to be horizontal, based around the shape of a nebula, with ghostly clouds forming the previous Doctors into an unbroken line that led to a full-color eleventh Doctor– but the drawing evolved to be a shirt design, we arranged it upright and added more color. Now it feels more like a history of the Doctor, with more detail and individual color to represent the eleven well-known incarnations of Gallifrey’s most famous–and last–Time Lord. I have loved getting the opportunity to work on this image and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have loved this show.”

New York Comic Con is the East Coast’s biggest popular culture convention. Its Show Floor plays host to the latest and greatest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies and television. Its panels and autograph sessions give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators and their screening rooms feature sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either big or small screens. New York Comic Con is the second largest pop culture convention in America and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media and licensing capital of the world — Gotham City.
