The Toonami Trending Rundown for July 4-5, 2015. With this week’s Toonami being on the night of Independence Day and the weekend of Anime Expo, not surprisingly it would be a down night for ratings and social media buzz. Of course because of this, Toonami gave every show but Attack on Titan the night off to marathon the last 6 episodes of DBZ Kai. As a result, #DBZKai trended in the US for around 2 hours, and AOT brought our first character trend in over 2 months with Eren trending as he was trialed for his Titan abilities.
Comic-Con is coming up next week and I’ll be going, so for those that are headed to San Diego, I’ll be seeing you around the convention halls. In addition, I’ll be the one doing ToonamiFaithful.com’s coverage of #ToonamiLive, so follow both my account and @ToonamiNews on Twitter as I’ll be posting coverage of the event as well as some of my experiences.
Tune in next week as Sword Art Online showcases the grand finale of the Phantom Bullet arc, among other great moments. Until next week, go Team USA, and as always, stay gold.
Legend: The shows listed are ordered based on their appearance on the schedule. Show trends are listed in bold. The number next to the listed trend represents the highest it trended on the list (not counting the promoted trend), judging only by the images placed in the rundown. For the Twitter tweet counts, the listed number of tweets are also sorely based on the highest number shown based on the images on the rundown.
