The Toonami Trending Rundown for December 26-27, 2015. We end off the final Toonami of the year with an encore marathon of the last 7 episodes of One Piece that has aired on the block. In terms of social media buzz, #OnePiece has successfully managed to trend on the night in addition to Toonami and Franky (as the Strawhats successfully attempt to get Franky to join their crew…by stealing his briefs…and squeezing his “tangerines” as well.)
With that, another year of Toonami is now in the books. 2015 sure was a memorable one for the block, with the successful airing of the long awaited Intruder 2, as well as the successes of all the great shows to have aired on the block this year. And 2016 is looking to be a good year for Toonami and anime as well, which will kick right off next week with the return of Samurai Champloo to Adult Swim, not to mention the long awaited return of Samurai Jack to occur sometime later in the year, as well as other new shows that will be revealed in the months ahead.
With much to look forward to, I personally can’t wait to see what’s in store, and i hope you are as well. And of course as long as Toonami continues to create social media buzz and make a positive impact for the anime industry, I’ll still be here creating these trending rundowns and of course i do want to thank everyone who reads and contributes to these trending rundowns every week.
