Well, this is certainly a surprise. There was no news regarding Toonami or any Toonami-related series that we could find, which isn’t the best thing to write for our weekly articles here. Now there feels like too much silence going on, and hopefully, Adult Swim will be able to add some hype toward the block with both Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon and Made in Abyss ready to conclude in February. Still, it’s rare to have a week with nothing involving something tangentially related to the block. Usually, this week’s installment of This Week From Toonami would be canceled, but there was a new podcast episode that we would love to promote, so here’s a short article for our loyal readers to check out!

On the newest episode of the Toonami Faithful Podcast, Andrew “Sketch” Hingson is joined by Varun “VLordGTZ” Gupta, Bryan “LaserKid” Johnson, and Umeko Long for a lengthy discussion about the latest One Piece story arc, Punk Hazard. With Toonami halfway finished, the gang decides to take the time to digest (or inhale) everything that has been going on, with Caesar Clown being a terrible person (who we want to fail) and the secret double dealings that have risen to prominence like Luffy and Law teaming up and Vergo allowing Caesar to avoid being noticed by the Navy. And while only having one episode per week can make this arc feel a bit long, many essential things are happening on this wasteland island that provokes a ton of conversations with our panelists. There’s a lot of enjoyment from the antics in this arc, and they can’t help to make a funny comparison between Smoker and Zenigata. That gang also talks about the short-lived fan art segment and what led to it being canceled forever. It’s a shame, but we are sure many understand due to what happened. But if you’re curious about everyone’s thoughts on where we are in One Piece, save some time and give it a listen!
