  1. Christ, look at the drop-off after Kai! It’s like AoT Season 2 came a little too late, and Tokyo Ghoul just doesn’t seem to be resonating that well with the audience. While I don’t follow AoT and I have a hard time getting any real enjoyment out of TG, it’s kinda frustrating because they’re taking Hunter x Hunter down with them. If it keeps up like this, then I do not look forward to seeing how Lupin III performs, especially since it barely left much of an impact when the Red Jacket series was on [as].

    • I think the low ratings have to do with the NBA Playoffs, people graduating from colleges and high schools, just life. I hope that the ratings will do better next time.

      • I would say the drop off is likely due to people cutting cable. If you look the overall viewers are down by about 250k. This number is backed up by a report from espn losing around 200-300k viewers to cord cutting. The 18-49 rating is still fairly good for at least the first third of the block but does show a drop off after DBZKai. Does sport have an effect on the block? Of course, but this 250-300k loss in viewership has been an ongoing trend for about 3-4 weeks now. To me that indicates something more then just a few eyes being drawn to some good NBA/NHL finals.
Now like I’ve said before this doesn’t mean Toonami is doing poorly. We just don’t have the numbers for streaming services like ps vue ect. So unless Turner is going to release those numbers, we may never know how well or poorly Toonami is really doing unless they cancel the block of course. Though being someone who know nothing about this, things seem to be fine. Until people start getting laid off or they start cutting the quality or the shows they acquire or any number of other warning signs, I wouldn’t worry too much.

        • Problem is we don’t see all the ratings including what they get from Digital Services like PS Vue, Sling TV, etc. It could give Toonami bigger number than we are seeing. All we know is the network is very pleased so that’s all that matters.
