  1. Getting better, but I’m not liking that drop from One Piece to Gurren Lagann (though admittedly, a drop like that’ll probably stump the anti-One Piece trolls), and in light of the news, the ratings will definitely have to be higher than this to get those 3 lost hours back.

  2. Wow. Really nice. Might be due to starting with something that wasn’t a rerun for a change. That Gurren Lagann drop is getting more and more consistent though, to the point where it doesn’t surprise me anymore. I wish more people would watch it.

  3. This may be my last post for a while because I been super busy lately, but I wanted to leave this on the rating news or whenever the site announces the time change.

I pretty much saw this, and it’s understandable people get tired of the same thing. Maybe I put up with it a lot, but I enjoy every show that was on Toonami and always came back to watch it again and again. I think this time change is a good thing and it should be to keep Toonami fresh in the future with new shows taking over once Final Act, Gurren Lagann, or Kill La Kill finish their run. Please and please keep telling people about Toonami, tweet it, instagram it, snapchat it, vine it, or do whatever. I’m still doing my billboard campaign and so far people have gotten interested in Toonami and they are DVRing it, but just right now it’s a busy time.

That’s all best of luck and please keep passing the word. Don’t give up!

    • The problem is if someone watches a new show on Toonami and likes it their not going to stick around waiting every week for a new episode simply because they can stream it free online and marathon it. The truth is Toonami is set to fail again the only question is how long until then?

      • Yea you could be right, but will those streams ever show AMVs, Movie nights, or Specials like Toonami does? No, because their only job is to get shows and watch the server and make it doesn’t crash. The only way this issue will ever be fixed is dropping cable prices because I can assure as soon as people find out what they pay they will flock back especially for sports because nobody likes bootlegging NFL, UFC, MLS, NBA, Champions League, or NCAA games and they want quality HD games, not 240p.

  5. You know what, im starting to understand this 1hr less of Toonami move that adult swim just made, they purposely shortened and hr of their programming to save production money so that the ratings to money value could increase for the block so that they could attempt to acquire new shows in the future or for whatever else they want to do. It’s kinda clever, which is why that DeMarco guy had no problem telling us that they lost a hour because of ratings. Other dweebs wouldn’t understand the move, just complain, that’s my take but it is what it is. Anime on tv is dying very fast anyway.

  6. DBZ killed it! And then Naruto killed that… I did not expect One Piece to beat InuYasha or for InuYasha not to hold Naruto better. I do wish Gurren also held One Piece better but I suppose that’s a non-issue when they swap.

Remember when 600,000+ viewers on the back-end was considered great? I guess those days are over. I really feel they are making a hasty decision before KLK airs and that 11:30 should have stayed with Toonami but I can’t argue that a FOX rerun would do better at 11:30, I’ll only be pissed about that change if Boondocks comes back to 11:30 and constantly gets beat by DBZ Kai but I’m hoping the programming department doesn’t do something that stupid.
