    • The show is just very hit or miss for me. I’ve liked these past few weeks eps mostly the training parts. I think the show gets that and the fighting pretty much right. Anything else and it seems to just drag on. Plus I dislike this JoJo more then the first which I found quite good tbh. I just cant stand how this JoJo insists on explaining everything he does to the nth degree. Your the hero man, not the whacky villain taking time to explain their convoluted evil master plan.

    • My personal choice would be Gundam Unicorn to be moved after DBZ Kai with maybe Hunter x Hunter also moving up past JoJo (even though I’m not a huge fan of HxH, in fact I often don’t watch it at all, I think with the hit or miss nature of JoJo, at least for me it would allow a much at least more solid show to take the reins earlier). Other than that, I’m not sure. In fact I wouldn’t be very surprised if they were to cut a few shows before they ended, to at the very least try something different. I do also think that there are quite a few people turned off from the back to back DB. Airing both DBS and DBZKai wouldn’t be so much of a problem If the block was from 8pm-3am so that you could space out those two shows. As it stands right now you’re actually getting three different airings of DB, one being a repeat basically that ends up as the lead in for the entire block, one that’s to early for most Toonami fans to watch, or maybe they prefer to wait until the actual start of the block, and finally one that is while “new”, is still old and has been seen many times before. That seems like a problem and a great way of breaking apart your audience which is never a good thing ( I know that they probably didn’t have a choice about the 8pm airing, but it’s still fairly foolish in my opinion).
Again I apologize for the length. When I get rolling it’s quite hard to turn it off sometimes.

  1. From what I can tell, and I could very well be wrong, but it seems that the 18-49 numbers have dropped way off. I mean, I know we can’t expect Family Guy numbers but, just look at last years 12am DBZ numbers compared to this years DBS at 11:30. It’s about a 210k drop off. Well what about the fact DBS is playing at 8pm also, so maybe less viewers. Ok, then lets look at the one to one of DBZ Kai 12am last year to this year. That lost 310k viewers. I know, its not the lead anymore, so its not a perfect comparison. I think it’s still valid though. So where did these viewers go? Are they not watching anymore? Did they move to streaming Toonami and since we dont have that data we cant know? Or did they move to non Toonami services (netflix, hulu, so on and so forth) for their anime? Maybe I’m making more of this then there even is. I just dont wanna see Toonami end again. I’m just not sure if a tv block like this can keep working in this day and age of streaming and being able to binge anything you like anytime you want.
sorry for the wall of text. tldr, lower viewership is bad.
