  1. Not bad, though things could’ve gotten off to a better start. Toonami needs to remove Attack on Titan from the lineup (or at least move it down to a lower timeslot) and put another show in its place (best choices I can think of are either Kill la Kill or Sword Art Online II, unless Toonami doesn’t want more than one Aniplex show, in which case, I’d suggest Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine). If I may quote what Blatch said in the forums, “its potential as a lead-in has dropped to almost nothing”.

  2. I’m kinda worried about ratings now. They don’t have nearly as many premieres as they used to last year, or even two years ago. The Toonami “premieres” that used to be Adult Swim reruns are now Toonami reruns. They could be picking up more shows, and instead, they’re getting Deadman Wonderland again. Compare that with last year’s double-whammy of Space Dandy and Naruto Shippuden. Not exactly the best way to kick off the new year.

Bleach is done with premieres. One Piece and (for this week) Gurren Lagann are airing recaps, and they’re both getting pushed down. DBZ Kai is just compressed DBZ. The only genuine new stuff this week are Final Act and Shippuden. Ratings are gonna suck for a while.

    • No they CAN’T very well be picking up a lot of premieres and new shows, because if you been keeping up with their news, Turners’ budgets were slashed, so that affected Toonami’s chances of expensive deals as well.

      • Even so, FUNi offers their shows for dirt cheap, so if Toonami is gonna pick up more shows from them, they could’ve at least picked something that wasn’t a rerun.
